Book Description:

This book is arranged by algorithms suite instead of the more common enhancement/restoration/reconstruction format found in other texts. Ordering by algorithm is to allow Computer Imaging Recipes in C to be used as a reference guide when developing imaging software systems and solving problems requiring image processing. It is our opinion that this ordering improves comprehension of algorithmic processes in imaging as each suite follows a logical and sequential progression leading from basic techniques of algebraic, geoemetric, and grayscale manupulations through complex and powerful convolution, spatial frequency, and adaptive filtering methods. The book also contains reference to and descriptions of common image file formats and disply technologies as well as a unique appendix that allows rapid look-up of common algorithms and convolution masks.

A Programming Style That Automatically Detects Bugs in C Code
Writing Bug-Free C Code for Windows Image
Advocating a style of C programming based upon data abstraction (classes) and run-time object verification, this book describes a technique that results in virtually bug-free code from the beginning. It details the key to writing bug-free code: the class methodology with run-time type checking. In support of this methodology, the book covers creating a new heap manager that is rock solid....
