Book Description:

This book describes a novel digital calibration technique called dynamic-mismatch mapping (DMM) to improve the performance of digital to analog converters (DACs). Compared to other techniques, the DMM technique has the advantage of calibrating all mismatch errors without any noise penalty, which is particularly useful in order to meet the demand for high performance DACs in rapidly developing applications, such as multimedia and communication systems.

Theory and Implementation
Digitally Assisted Pipeline ADCs Image
Digitally Assisted Pipeline ADCs: Theory and Implementation explores the opportunity to reduce ADC power dissipation by leveraging digital signal processing capabilities in fine line integrated circuit technology. The described digitally assisted pipelined ADC uses a statistics-based system identification technique as an enabling element to replace precision residue amplifiers with simple open-loop gain stages. The digital compensation of analog circuit distortion eliminates one key factor in the classical noise-speed-linearity constraint loop and thereby enables a significant power reduction. Digitally Assisted Pipeline ADCs: Theory and Implementation describes in detail the implementation and measurement results of a 12-bit, 75-MSample/sec proof-of...

This firstPress book on JavaFX Scriptcovers the following topics: The fundamentals of the JavaFX suite of technologies and the foundations of JavaFX Script and available tools How to create a Wordsearch application How to augment and enhance the Wordsearch application after learning more advanced JavaFX Script features ...

The HDRI Handbook

High Dynamic Range Imaging for Photographers and CG Artists +DVD
The HDRI Handbook Image
The HDRI Handbook reveals the secrets behind High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI). This cutting-edge imaging technology is a method to digitally capture and edit all light in a scene. It represents a quantum leap in imaging technology, as revolutionary as the leap from Black White to Color imaging. If you are serious about photography, you will find that HDRI is the final step that places digital ahead of analog. The old problem of over- and underexposure in analog photography, which was never fully solved, is elegantly bypassed here. A huge variety of subjects can now be photographed for the first time ever. HDRI emerged from the movie industry, and was once Hollywood's best kept secret. It is now a mature technology available to everyone. The only pr...
